Mommy's Birthday... According to Tyler

To celebrate Mommy's 28th birthday, we had a pool party! Grammy, Aunt Lindsey, Uncle Nick, Logan and I planned a fun day in the water with my Mommy! This was my first time in a swimming pool, and I didn't really know what to think.  I liked the water for a little while, until I got tired and wanted to sleep in the shade.  Grammy held me while Logan played with Mommy, Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Nick.  We watched as they had SO much fun!!

Later that day, Daddy came to join us at Grammy's house and we ate dinner and sang to Mommy.

Since Logan is so good at blowing out candles, he got to help Mommy!

We had such a fun time with everyone.  It was nice to celebrate my Mommy's birthday!

On Mommy's actual birthday, we went to our family's favorite Mexican restaurant.  I sat and watched my parents and my brother eat.

Later, we went home and gave Mommy a special cake.  We gave my Mommy a very special birthday!!

Sitting Up... According to Tyler!

I am 12 weeks old and my new favorite 'activity' is to sit up... with help.  I smile and laugh as my parents hold my hands to support me while I'm sitting up.  Even my brother holds my hands to help me sit (with my parents standing close by, of course!) I started trying to sit up on my own from laying down; I can only get my head and shoulders off of the couch, but I keep trying!
Leaning against the couch pillows has worked well for me, too.  I like having a different view of the world!

Logan gave me his old seat to use to sit up and play.  He was very happy to give it to me when my Mommy suggested it, but after he saw how much I liked it, 'we' agreed to just share it.  Mommy and Logan count to 10 and then he is happy to give it up after he gets his turn... and I am happy to get my turn, too!

Baptism... According to Tyler!

On Sunday, August 18th, I was baptized at St. Francis de Sales Church.  My brother, parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents were there to celebrate with me!

First, I had to get all dressed up in my special white tuxedo.  I didn't know what to expect, but I let my parents dress me like a good boy.

I fell asleep soon after the service began.  I snuggled in my Daddy's arms during most of the mass and only flinched a little when the water touched my head; I just kept sleeping!

My Godparents are my Aunt Jen and Uncle Dominick.  They stood with my parents and me during the baptism ceremony.  Uncle Dominick even got to hold a special candle!

Toward the end of church, I opened my eyes for just a few minutes while Mommy held me.  I continued to be such a good little baby!
Speaking of good boys: My brother Logan was a perfect angel during the entire thing!  He sat on Papa's lap and quietly watched everything that was happening.

Here are some family photos:

After we left church, we went back to our house.  My parents prepared a special brunch for everyone.  They decorated and cooked yummy food for everyone to enjoy.  Everyone even got to take home a chocolate favor with my picture on it!

I enjoyed getting passed from person-to-person and my brother had fun playing and being silly with everyone!

It was a very special day for my family and me!

Great Nona Liz... According to Logan

We went to visit our great-grandmother, Daddy's grandma!  Tyler and I looked around her room and I liked looking through all of the photo albums of my extended family.  She was very happy to see us and I made her laugh a lot! I liked showing her the silly faces that I can make.

I even got to go for a ride with her down the hallway!  It was a very fun visit!

West Side Market... According to Logan

I went to The West Side Market for the first time! My Mommy kept telling me that we would get to eat samples, but I didn't really know what that meant until I got there.  Grammy, Aunt Lindsey, Tyler and Mommy walked around with me as I looked all around at the food and people.  It was busy and fun to be at!

I loved all of the samples!  It didn't take me long to understand what that meant and realize that I got to taste lots of yummy foods that I have never tried before.  Most foods tasted good to me, and I would shake my head and say, "good," while others did not taste good and I was quick to make a scrunched-up face and say, "me no like it!"

I got to eat a Cookie Monster & Lego cupcake. I liked picking it out.
Baby Tyler was such a good boy during our trip! He got pushed around in his stroller and laughed at his toys dangling down.  He might have been a little jealous at all of the foods we were tasting, because they were right on his level and he looked at them a lot, too!

We were able to look at surprises for Aunt Lindsey's wedding and got some yummy desserts for Tyler's baptism brunch.  I think we should go back when Tyler is old enough to taste samples, too!

Octonauts Live... According to Logan

My parents took Tyler and me to see The Octonauts live show!  As soon as my Mommy asked me if I wanted to go, I told her which characters I wanted to see; I knew them by name!  I was very excited and sang, "Creature Report" during the car ride.  When we got there, we were able to get a front-row spot so I could see them up close!

I loved watching the show.  I clapped along and watched in awe.

The show was super funny. I loved it!

During the show, Daddy held me and Mommy held Tyler.  I don't know if he enjoyed it as much as I did, but he liked the singing and looked around a lot!

After the show, I got to meet the actual Ocotnauts! Mommy took a picture of Daddy, Tyler and me with them. It was so cool to see them up close!

I became an honorary Octonaut by participating in the show!  I got my own certificate to prove it! I was so proud of my certificate, I walked around and showed it to everyone!
I have been talking about the show ever since I got home.  I called family members to tell them all about it!  If anyone asks, I'm quick to tell them about the characters and how I clapped along in the front row!
