My Two Front Teeth... According to Tyler!

All I want for Christmas is my two front (bottom) teeth... and I got them!!

On December 22nd, I got my first bottom tooth!  The next day, my other bottom tooth popped out!
I didn't fuss or seem bothered by them at all!
I like to stick my tongue out over them when I smile or open my mouth, so it is hard to get a picture that isn't blurry.  They are getting bigger and sharper each day!

1 Day Until Christmas!

We visited Santa Claus at the mall at the beginning of the holiday season.  At first, Logan was very excited about the idea of seeing Santa...

(You can tell it was early in the season, because Logan hadn't yet added a "robot" to his Elmo and Cookie Monster wish list for Santa)

Once it was time to sit on Santa's lap, Tyler was content to get handed over and sit on Santa's lap.  But, Logan's legs clenched.  He was happy to stand by Santa and talk to him, but he was not interested in sitting on his lap.  So, this is the best picture that the camera lady got...

Good thing Santa sneaks in our house while we're sleeping tonight!

Brotherly Love... According to Logan

I love my brother SO much! I am (usually) very nice to him.  I say, "Hi, sweetheart!" to him all the time in my sweet voice.  Any time that I hear him fuss or cry, I run as quickly as I can to get to his rescue.  I yell, "coming, Tyler!" whenever I hear him making noise through his monitor because he woke up from his nap.

I have learned from watching people's facial expressions that their eyebrows usually go down when they're upset and go up when they're happy.  So, I often tell people to "put your eyebrows up" whenever they seem sad or make an angry face.  On Sunday, I could tell that my brother was getting sleepy because his eyebrows were down, so I tried to give him a hug and a kiss to cheer him up.  He ended up getting happy and smiley but he wanted to play along with me, too!

Talking... According to Tyler

I have been babbling a lot lately!  My sweet, scratchy little voice is heard over and over throughout the day.  Each day, I talk a little more.  I think it is fun to make different sounds, even if the grown-ups can't really understand me.  Here is a little peek:

Accent... According to Logan

I overheard a lady on TV talking in a British accent.  I listened for a few minutes, then decided I wanted to try it on my own. My favorite thing to say is, "Are you a lady?"... since the lady on TV was the one talking differently. Every now and then, I get in a silly mood and try to have a conversation in my new accent.  I think it is very funny!

6 Month Check-Up... According to Tyler

I went to the doctor for my 6 month check-up!  Logan and I practiced playing 'doctor' all day, and he sang the Doc McStuffins song over and over again to me. The doctor confirmed that I am a healthy, strong, growing baby boy!  I spent the whole time ripping up the paper that I sat on... until it was time for my shots; they sure hurt, but I was very brave!
Here are my new stats:
Length: 27.75 Inches (91st percentile! So tall!!)
Weight: 18 Pounds 10 Ounces

6 months old... According to Tyler!

I am 6 months old!!

The time has gone by so quickly! I can't believe I am already a half-of-a-year-old!  My family threw me a "half-birthday party" and I absolutely loved it!!  I was happy to be wearing a party hat and was thrilled when I saw the half-cake and heard my family sing to me!

My brother, Logan, really loved singing the Happy Half-Birthday song to me!

As soon as the cake was close enough, I took my chance and stuck both of my hands in it!  I got two fists full of frosting and cake.  Since it was my special day, my parents let me eat some of it.  It was soooo delicious!  I laughed out loud while I was eating it because I was so happy to have a sweet treat!

It has been a wonderful half of a year!  I love my family and I know that my family absolutely adores me!  I had fun celebrating my half-birthday!

Thanksgiving... According to Logan!

It was Tyler's first Thanksgiving!  Since it was my third Thanksgiving, I felt like a professional, so I showed him how to celebrate.  We had a fun morning at home eating a special breakfast while watching the parade.  Then, we got dressed in our matching Thanksgiving sweaters!

We headed to Nona Penny and Grandpa Mike's house.  We both had fun playing with everyone!

I had been talking about Thanksgiving dinner for weeks; once it was time to eat, I double-fisted to get as much turkey and mashed potatoes in my mouth as I could!

Tyler and I enjoyed cooling off in the basement. I especially loved playing with Grandpa Mike and the tool bench! I made everyone laugh and they enjoyed hearing me sing my favorite Christmas songs.

Tyler and I started to get sleepy, so we took our naps in the car on the way to Grammy Lynn's house!

Everyone was excitedly waiting for our arrival.  Tyler and I played with everyone until it was time to eat.

I was playing in the basement with Uncle Nick when I spotted a nutcracker statue.  I told Uncle Nick, "I love him! I love this nutcracker."  So, naturally, we invited the nutcracker to dinner.  He sat right next to me.
We had an extra special centerpiece at our table!  Look closely and you will see that baby Tyler joined us at the table! He loved to kick his legs and look around at everyone.  I think he really liked sitting in the middle of everyone; I know that he was looking at our food and wishing that he could eat some!

After dinner, we played Left, Right, Center! I didn't quite understand how the game worked, but I quickly understood that we took turns rolling the dice.  I rolled for Daddy and for Grammy.  With my luck, I helped Daddy win the game!! Afterwards, Aunt Lindsey taught me how to "make it rain..." with his winnings.

Tyler and I are so blessed to have so many family members and friends who love us! We are thankful to have each of these people in our lives.  I show them I am thankful by telling them that I love them, snuggling, and happily playing with them.  Tyler shows his thankfulness with smiles, hugs and cuddles.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Thanks for reading my blog... I have something to tell you:

Sitting Up... According to Tyler!

I had been working on sitting up for quite a few weeks.  I leaned forward and balanced with my hands on the ground.  Soon enough, I got strong enough to sit up straight all by myself! On Tuesday, November 19, at just 24 weeks old, I mastered sitting up! Now, I am enjoying playing with people and toys from a whole new perspective!

Countdown to the Beach... According to Logan!

When my parents told me that we were going on a vacation to the beach, I was SO excited! I didn't quite understand that I had to wait a couple of weeks before we went, so Mommy and I made a "countdown to the beach" chain for my bedroom door.  Each night, before I went to bed, I would tear off one link.  Then, we would count the number of bedtimes that I had left before we went on the airplane!  I loved doing this and looked forward to it every night!

We are now back from our vacation, and I can officially say that it was worth the wait!!
(Tyler and I will update with vacation pictures soon!)

Trick-or-Treat... According to Logan

I went trick-or-treating for the first time ever!!  I was looking forward to it for a while. I kept practicing saying, "trick-or-treat" and then saying, "thank you!"  I excitedly got my costume on and went outside early to wait to start.  Tyler got bundled up in his tiger hat and got pushed around in the stroller while I got my candy.

I was happy to carry my pumpkin bucket and my lion flashlight!

We walked on our own for a couple houses before we met my friend, Blake.  His dad pulled us around in his wagon for a while.  It made it very easy to get to a lot of houses without getting tired!

I can't believe everyone gave me so much candy! Tyler wasn't really sure what was going on, but he entertained himself!

It started to get cold and dark, so we took my candy back home and I got to sit on the front porch with Daddy to pass out candy to the other kids.  I was SO happy to do this!
I got excited each time kids would come to our front door.  I would say, "happy Halloween" and "nice costume!"  I told them, "please take one!"  Everyone was happy to see me in my lion costume and they all thought I was a very friendly boy!

Later in the evening, I dumped all of my candy onto the ground to see what I got! I was thrilled to see all of the candy; I even got to eat some that night!

I LOVED trick-or-treating!!
