Mr. Fix-It

Over the past few weeks, I have been watching my Daddy use his tools in our basement. At first, I quietly observed; later, I grabbed the tools and knew just what to do with each one! I follow him around and try to do exactly what he is doing. Sometimes, the real tools are too dangerous and I unwillingly have to switch to my toy-tools. I still end up having a lot of fun pretending to fix my toys!

I thought I was so cool when Mommy and I went downstairs for a few minutes and I got to help paint!

I have to concentrate to get the screw-driver in the exactly right spot. I can do it, though!

When my parents ask how long something that I have measured is, I usually reply, "It's this," as I point to the tape measure. 

When I need to leave the grown-up tools alone, I use my toy-tools to fix my toys. I'm working on hammering my slide!

Blowing Kisses

I've been blowing kisses for a little while now, but recently, I added a nice smooch sound! 

19 Months!

I am 19 months old!

And, yes, I love wearing this hat around the house. (I won't switch it out for another one) I think it looks great with anything I wear!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! 

I woke up extra early today and my parents gave me a balloon and some treats. I was surprised and excited to play with them!

I ate a lot of chocolate covered strawberries, without the chocolate. They were big, so I used two hands to hold on to them. 

I spent the whole day on a date with my Mommy. I gave her lots of Valentine's Day kisses and hugs!! 

Dip!

My favorite way to eat anything is to dip it! I don't really care if the flavors necessarily go together, I just think food is so much more exciting when it is dipped in something. Sometimes, when I'm done eating, I like to use the dip as finger paint! I think I'm hilarious and I'm quite the artist! :)

18-Month Check Up!

I went to the doctor yesterday for my 18-month check up! I had a lot of fun running around the doctor's office, reading all of their books. I thought it was silly that I was allowed to hang out in the patient room with only my diaper on. I only tried to escape once, but I couldn't quite reach the door handle.

I only had to get one shot and I was super brave! I was more interested in the cool band-aid that I got on my leg. I am done with shots until kindergarten! 

Here are my new stats:

Weight: 27.5 pounds

Height: 33 inches

At my last check-up in November, I was 31.5 inches long, so I have grown a lot! I am a big, strong and healthy boy!

A New Nursery

My parents and I have spent a lot of time upstairs in what will soon be my little brother's nursery. At first, I allowed them to work on building a crib and taping the wall while I tested out all of my baby brother's things to make sure that I approved of them. After I got a chance to watch what my parents were doing, I wanted in on the action. 

I grabbed the tape measure and began to measure the wall exactly like my parents did. I think my little brother will appreciate all of the hard work, and toy testing, that I have been doing for him!
